Goodbye again! I'm off to the sandy shores of Boracay (again!). But mind you, it's business (with a little pleasure, since Allan is following me there). Hehehe!
Santa Clara, I know your church doesn't accept eggs anymore because your nuns have high colesterol but please, I pray, don't let it rain.
Thank God, the pictures finally appeared! Blogger has been giving me an awfully, awfully difficult time posting these pictures. Grrr!

The Things I Learned in Boracay:
1) That I can sober up completely after getting drunk on tequila. All it takes is 1.5 liters of water. That's an entire Coke bottle to you!
2) Even the slightest drop of water can destroy your digicam. Woe is me.
3) As much as possible, never bring your camera near the water... because number 2 can happen.
4) Even the corniest joke or hirit can be hilarious when drunk.
5) The phrases we learned: Ayus- ayusin mo yung buhay mo ha!
6) ... and "Kay Susan Tayo!" (which we shout whenever we dance with hands in the air. Susan as in Susan Roces)
7) October is really the best time to go to Boracay. No lumot in sight.
8) That I can work and still talk with sense even when drunk.
9) That I can compute (with calculator, of course) even when drunk and my calculations are right!
10) That swimming sobers you up a little.
11) That peeing in the ocean is faster than lining up or going to the bathroom.
12) That nobody cares if you pee in the ocean. They're doing it too!
13) Posing with one arm across your belly hides your fat.
14) That I can dance on stage just in my bikini even if I'm not drunk. It's all about natural highs.
15) That I want a belly button ring even more.
16) Jonah's Shakes is now open 24 hours!
17) That when I go to Boracay, I can not go sightseeing and shopping. I've been to Boracay so many times, I'm tired of going around.
18) That I really like tequila better than GSM Gin Premium
19) That it doesn't matter whose camera it is. If there's a camera, we will all gather in front of it and pose.
20) That I really am my great grandfather's great granddaughter (apo sa tuhod). The heavy drinkers are from his side of the family.
21) That if there is a camera crew from a large television network, it doesn't necessary mean that they're covering the party. We found out, after having cameras follow us around as we danced that the footage was going to be shown in Reporter's Notebook! Specifically, a segment on the problems in Boracay, including drugs and prostitution. Oy vey! Seriously, when the footage was shown, our faces were seen on tv! Even that part where I danced on stage in my bikini! Let me repeat... the segment was about prostitution and drugs in Boracay! Yikes! Next time you see a camera crew, ask where they are from and what the footage they're taking is for.
22) That I should start taking Vitamin C and E.
23) That if you can't pee alcohol in your system, you have to puke it.
24) You know who your friends are when you're drunk. Two of them dug a hole for me to puke in when I told them I have to throw up. (Of course, I couldn't throw up because I was laughing so hard.)
25) That I haven't drunk this much my whole life.. and actually enjoy it!
26) That even if I'm sawa na with Boracay, I'll still miss it when I leave.
So for the past two weeks, I feel like I've been running around like a headless chicken. (Well, except when I'm sleeping from like 5am to 1pm). I've got anniversary parties to take care of (almost every two weeks from September 14 to November 8), events to organize which are held in Boracay on every October weekend, promos to run, gazillion letters and quotations to send out, email barrages to do, payments to request, etc. I may be stressed out but the weird thing is... I'm enjoying it.
For months on end, I've been so excited to go to Boracay for our branch's anniversary. First, Seph, our creative designer, and Ramon, her husband and our part time IT personnel, are coming with us. Seph and I are like sidekicks in the office. I am her superior but we get along so well. In fact, I cringe when she introduces me as her boss. Secondly, almost all of the members of the management team are going (except for the Manila branch managers who have to stay in their outlets to oversee operations) and I swear, these people are the best people to party with. They're just laugh trips! Third, I was able to convince Globe to get 2 of our regular bands to perform for the anniversary as a sort of bonus for them for doing sooo well. The members of these bands have become good friends of the management team of the bar. Lastly, so many people are going to Boracay just for the anniversary. I'm talking about our super regular guests who we no longer consider as guests but friends.
Unfortunately for me, the excitement died down when I entered the office just this Monday. First, I wasn't feeling well. My immune system was down because the crimson tide came. Secondly, the crimson tide (which is actually okay. I'm more worried about my eating habits around this time of the month). And lastly, there is still so much work to do!!!
But I think I've managed to finish everything I've done. I can't tell yet. The anxiety of "what if I forgot to do something?!" is still there. I hope this feeling will wear off by tomorrow. And I hope I don't receive any ASAP requests while I'm in Boracay because that would just plainly SUCK. There is no email there, you know! I gotta go far for that!
Anyway, we had a SUPER Sunday celebrating my grandmother's 66th birthday. Click on my sister
Ara's blog to know what gimmick we did.
In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the week and the weekend as well!!!
